San Antonio Plaza

Yesterday I took the local bus to the San Antonio plaza.  This is a very small plaza, peaceful even when they are having a market day. I ate lunch at Mario's restaurant. It is close to the plaza. Their food is traditional Mexican. Delicious. I had mango fish.  I usually don't even like fish but I loved it.

Beto's Motel in Chapala

I am always asked of a cheap place to stay here. The least expensive one I know of is in downtown Chapala. Check out the post dated March 12, 2011. Photos of it. Beto's phone number is 375 2797 or 336 765 2797. Great location.  For one in Ajijic, check to the left of my blog under favorite links. It is Ajijic rentals. You will be taken to a site of a very nice place. I highly recommend it.

Breakfast at the Coffee Kingdom Restaurant in Ajijic

This morning was yard sale day. I have been going on Saturdays with my friend Pat. We only found one interesting sale today.  People have other things to do this Easter weekend. We always go for coffee or breakfast at the Coffee Kingdom restaurant after our sales. It is a great little restaurant right across the street from El Torito grocery store. Their breakfasts are delicious and inexpensive. It is owned by a wonderful Mexican couple, Marisol and Francisco Peralta.   Their hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  She makes delicious soups too.

Their address is Carretera ote. No. 117 C, Ajijic. Cell number is 331 346 2500.....

Hot Dog and Hammocks

I took a walk yesterday. It was too hot for walking. There was too much traffic. I am not going to the passion play today because of the heat and the crowds. I took these photos on my walk. Looks like I am just going to hang out around my casita until all of the Easter crowds leave town. Maybe I am just getting old and no longer so active.  I liked the dog in the truck. He was so full of life..... I haven't been feeling like that much lately.  Hammocks are my speed these days. Hammocks under cool trees.....

I admit that I have been complaining about the heat here in the past few blog posts. I checked out the weather online. It is in the high 80s and low 90s. Not any hotter. I guess I am just spoiled.

Swimming at El Dorado

Yesterday my friend arranged for me to swim at El Dorado. It is a fairly new private residence club on the Libramiento as you turn to go to Guadalajara. It is in the San Antonio/Chula Vista area and close to the new shopping center. I had a lovely afternoon.  Centeya Canales showed me around. What a place!
It has a beautiful infinity swimming pool, hot tub, tennis courts, indoor gym, pool tables and even a sweat lodge where holy men come in and do ceremonies for the residents. If you want to know more, please call the El Dorado office at: 376 766 4525.
